Tina Brillinger
Founder & President |
Tina founded GFSR in 2011 with the mission of helping educate and support the food industry’s ongoing quest to improve food safety. Bringing over 20 years publishing experience, along with a strong background in the food service and hospitality industry, Tina utilizes her wealth of insights and vast network to help businesses achieve their food safety and compliance goals. She also developed the Safe-Food Training HUB ( a custom LMS) for food safety training to help food companies source, buy, take and manage quality training from qualified vendors.
Michel Julien

Michel is an integral part of GFSR’s Senior Management having worked with GFSR since it first launched. Michel holds an MBA from Schulich Business School at York University and a Masters in Computer Science. He has worked with well-known brands including IBM’s Watson, Ethan Allen and Canada Goose. Michel has been the lead developer for GFSR Safe-Food Training Hub, a custom LMS system, and ensures all GFSR platforms meet the highest levels of optimization, privacy, safety and security.

Katie Mayes is a seasoned marketing and communications expert with over two decades of experience spanning journalism, higher education, and the food industry.
Beginning her career as an award-winning journalist, she transitioned into marketing leadership, overseeing communications at a major public university before spearheading a global rebrand for one of the nation’s oldest food safety organizations.
Now, as the Editorial Director at Global Food Safety Resource (GFSR), Katie applies her expertise to developing high-impact resources that help food professionals navigate an increasingly complex landscape. With a background in both storytelling and strategic brand development, she excels at translating technical subjects into compelling, actionable content. Katie holds degrees from UCLA and Kansas State University.
Elliot Tadic

Elliot is responsible for ensuring an optimal user experience for visitors to our multi-channel platforms. A Graduate of Sheridan College, his experience spans both web development and the retail sector, giving him a unique understanding of supply chain management and the food safety issues retailers must address in order to remain compliant.
